What I'm working on
Well as usual I have a few things going at the same time. I just finish my first knitted lace shawl. I tried to work with lace yarn and soon gave up. Not something for a first timer to attempt . The yarn is so fine that it sometimes knots and or breaks...So I switch to a sock yarn. Not to bad. Of course I would have liked it better if I could have worked with the lace yarn...

Gallery Show
Last Sunday was our grand opening reception at the Mahopac Library. We had a fabulous turnout.
I thought the presentation of the quilts was absolutely smashing. And I'm just so proud to be part of this very talented group of Women. Below are just some of the pictures I was able to take . I plan to go back and take another look without the crowds. If you are in the area do stop in. It is so much more impressive in person.

Happy New Year
First I want to wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year. Lets all hope it is better then last year.....Peace.....
It's 2 in the afternoon, on the Eve of the New Year. Not sure if my guests are still coming for dinner, because we in NY, have just got a couple of inches of snow. Boo. I was really looking forward to it. I'm not calling anyone because hope springs eternal. I figure if I don't hear anything they are still coming...You know the saying "No News is Good News"...
Anyway, I decided to celebrate the New Year by finishing up my little oriental wall hanging that I started last month. At first, I tried doing a piping around the edge. I did not do a very good job. I should have photograph it, but I was anxious to fix it. I put a regular 1/4" binding. Looks much better.
Here is the photo. I haven't decided what to call it. And I have to write an artist statement. Two of the hardest things for me.
