Quilt -
I'm still working on this quilt. Don't know if I over work it. I think it has be too much stuff around my couple. I just might take everything off except the first ring. Place it on a dark background and be done with it. Here are 2 photos one with the 3 of the new 4 borders and one where I pinned all the border rings to the back and placed it on a background just to see how it looks. As usual I'm obsessing over this.

I'm not sure what advice to give you, but maybe you can be guided by the Roman theme and style. The borders you have on there now remind me a bit of Native American art (but I could be all wrong). Maybe something with columns, more grays and white to look like marble? In cases like this I usually let it sit, as you suggested, or I go fabric shopping to see what other options I might have! Shopping is always fun!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cindy and those Roman columns are a good idea. To me, the border that you have on now is distracting from the center, which is lovely.
